Pru Goudie invites new charity organisation to apply to become the next ATN22 partner!

by Pru Goudie

When I founded Adventure Travel Networking, it was important to me that we used the voice and platform we had created for the greater good of adventure travel. I wanted to use the opportunity to support and partner with a local charity organisation that was focussed on giving back to local communities.

As such we chose the Derek Moore Foundation to support for ATN21, a charity set up to promote sustainable economic growth and empowerment in socially and economically disadvantaged communities. Over the last 12-months we have been successful in helping to raise their profile, connecting them to new business opportunities as well as donating to their cause.

We will continue to promote and support the Derek Moore Foundation, but we are now seeking a new charity to partner with and support for ATN22. To continue giving our support we are now inviting small local charities to introduce themselves to us for consideration. We can only choose one, so please contact us with a brief description on your mission and what your charity stands for, so that you can be part of the consideration process.

It costs you nothing; we will promote you, offer you some stage time at the ATN Conference in February 2022 plus ATN will make a small donation on behalf of the Adventure travel community.

You must be a small registered charity organisation or NGO working with smaller community projects to be considered.

Some comments from Derek Moore, founder of the Derek Moore Foundation;

“We were lucky enough to be selected as the charity to be supported by the ATN21 at their most recent event. As part of their support we were given a 5 minute slot to explain who we are and what we do. And we very quickly had two important benefits from this exposure. A tour operator contacted us offering to work with us and a business partner offered to run a campaign with their product with our Foundation receiving donations from the campaign. ATN take their charity support seriously and have proved that they create results for their chosen charity.”

“The donation we received from the ATN21 event went towards our funding of medical flights in Kenya, flying to remote northern villages to help children with disabilities.”

When applying please state what type of organisation you are, your website URL and what your mission is. The audience we can help you reach is the 'adventure travel community' so please only apply if your organisation is relevant to this market.

Please send submissions to pru@adventuretravelnetworking.com with subject line ATN22 charity partner, by Friday 30th July.
