MORE ABOUT ATN

Our purpose

Adventure Travel Networking (ATN) is an award-winning organisation built around two core pillars: connection within the adventure travel community, and promoting adventure and experiential travel with a positive impact. We support and connect the adventure travel community through industry events and networking opportunities.

We’re a small but passionate team of adventure enthusiasts with many years of combined travel and events experience, alongside a deep understanding of the UK adventure travel sector.

Built on the belief that our industry is driven by people and relationships, ATN was created to bring the adventure travel community together, encourage collaboration and help build meaningful partnerships. At the heart of everything we do is a shared commitment to positive impact, and we work closely with the adventure travel community not only across the UK, but around the world.

Our vision is simple: to create an organisation that is truly ‘for the trade, by the trade’. We value the ideas, insights and input of our industry community and believe that by bringing the right people together, we can continue to strengthen and grow the adventure travel sector.

Pru Goudie, ATN founder

What I do:

I've spent more than 28 years working in the adventure travel sector and have always been passionate about championing adventure and experiential travel with a positive impact. Throughout my career, I’ve worked across tour operating, business development, PR, marketing, events and leadership roles, giving me a broad understanding of the industry and the opportunity to build strong relationships across the travel community.

In 2020, I founded Adventure Travel Networking (ATN) after recognising a gap in the market for a dedicated platform to bring the UK adventure travel community together. Today, ATN is the UK’s only adventure travel organisation connecting tour operators, DMCs, tourist boards, trade bodies and leading travel media through events and networking opportunities that build genuine, valuable partnerships and support the growth of the sector.

Launching a new business during one of the travel industry’s most challenging periods was an adventure in itself, but with the unwavering support of the industry, ATN has grown into a thriving community. We are a people-driven industry, and bringing the adventure travel community together to connect, collaborate and build meaningful relationships is at the heart of what ATN does. I remain focused on ensuring ATN continues to evolve and deliver real value for its members.

When I'm not working:
I'm usually planning my next adventure, wild swimming, cooking for friends, watching rugby or enjoying a good glass of wine.

What I do:
Having founded the award-winning travel company Nomadic Thoughts (Worldwide Travel) 35 years ago, I continue to enjoy creating memorable travel experiences for clients around the world and remain energised by the fast-moving nature of the adventure travel sector and the opportunities and challenges it brings. In addition to moderating previous ATN Conferences with a strong focus on sustainable travel, I greatly value the knowledge, expertise and experience that so many industry colleagues contribute to ATN events. It’s this shared passion and collaborative spirit that makes the adventure travel community so unique.

When I'm not working:
I am a traveller, blogger, photographer, wannabe yogi and active sportsman who remains available for international selection.

What I do:

I'm an experienced executive and consultant with over three decades of experience leading digital and commercial transformation for global brands. In January 2025, I launched my consultancy, specialising in business, commercial, and digital transformation, with a focus on audience-centric strategy. I've held senior positions across Digital, Sales, Marketing, and Commercial leadership within the travel and tourism, sports, arts, and culture sectors. I have worked with major global brands, including Avis, British Airways, Flight Centre, Lastminute.com, Thomas Cook, Visit Britain/Visit England and The Travel Corporation. My extensive stakeholder experience spans major brands and government departments, including the Department for Culture, Media & Sport and the Department for Education. As a consultant, I am working with several organisations across Technology/AI, Aviation, Attraction and Cultural experiences, as well as ATN, on an advisory, mentoring and project basis.

When I'm not working:
You can find me focusing on my fitness - on my Peloton bike, dancing, running or walking, watching sport, (football, rugby & tennis) or jumping on a plane for my next travel adventure with family & friends!

What I do:

Bringing the experience of the best part of 4 decades in the travel industry, I advise, support and challenge ATN to make it as relevant as possible to tour operators and DMCs. Over the years, I  have had the good fortune to have visited over 100 countries through the lens of having a deep professional interest in sustainability, risk management, product development and aviation, along with all the commercial aspects of running a business.  Formerly a non-executive director for Hotelplan UK, and Managing Director of Explore Worldwide, I now also advise a number of travel companies and organisations, as well as working with Surrey University School of Hospitality and Tourism Management.

When I'm not working:
Walking randomly across the South of England, learning to cook (thank you Guosto) and not so quietly despairing at UK politics.
