Meet The ATN Team
Who are we?
Adventure Travel Networking (ATN) is an award winning organisation that was created to serve the travel trade and promote adventure and experiential travel through the various events we organise. We are a small bunch of enthusiastic adventurers with many years of 'travel & events' experience between us and an in depth understanding of the UK adventure travel sector.
Core to the DNA of ATN is our combined passion for promoting adventure & experiential travel with a positive impact. We work closely with the adventure travel community, not just in the UK but all around the globe. Our vision is that ATN is 'for the trade, by the trade' and we welcome input from our many industry stakeholders, who are all eager to have their say!
ATN Organiser

Pru Goudie, ATN founder
What I do:
With 28+ years experience of working in the adventure travel sector I am passionate about promoting adventure and experiential travel with a positive impact. Having worked across sales, marketing, PR, events and general management I combined all my skills and contacts and founded Adventure Travel Networking (ATN) in January 2020. Navigating a new business through such a tumultuous time was quite the adventure but with the incredible support of the travel trade ATN has gone from strength to strength. We deliver the highly successful ATN Conference & Marketplace event each February and our exclusive and sought after ATN Media Meetup networking event each spring and autumn. There's no secret to success, I believe you just have to work hard every day and ask yourself what more ATN can do to serve the trade!
When I'm not working:
You can find me either planning my next adventure, swimming, sipping wine, watching rugby, cooking for friends, or all five!
ATN Moderator

Jono Vernon-Powell
What I do:
Having founded the award-winning travel company Nomadic Thoughts (Worldwide Travel) 35 years ago, I continue to thrill in arranging travel for clients across the globe. Forever embracing the challenges associated with keeping a handle on the fast-moving adventure travel market. In addition to moderating previous ATN Conferences, with a high sustainable-travel focus, I am hugely appreciative of the considerable knowledge, expertise & experience so many fellow travel colleagues bring to ATN events.
When I'm not working:
I am a traveller, blogger, photographer, wannabe yogi and active sportsman who remains available for international selection.
ATN Media Advisor

Meera Dattani
What I do:I’m a freelance travel journalist, and executive editor at Adventure.com where I commission features from writers/photographers around the world. I focus on community-led tourism, food/cultural heritage, soft adventure, and wildlife/conservation, and have written for National Geographic Traveller, Wanderlust, BBC Travel, Condé Nast Traveller, Evening Standard, the i paper, and others. I’m also a mentor, awards judge, and speak/moderate on panels for the likes of ATN, Women In Travel, IMM, and Destinations. In 2023, I founded TravelWritingWebinars to offer informal training for travel journalists, and am a former Chair/Board Director of the British Guild of Travel Writers.
When I'm not working:
I’m planning my next trip, walking, cooking for family and friends, yoga, reading, talking about ‘writing a book’, and on a constant mission to find new ways to organise my to-do list
ATN Producer

David Howard
What I do:
As the Director of Production Values, I’ve worked in the travel sector for many years and have managed the production, creative concepts and running order of the ATN conference for two years, soon to be three! I produce video, events, conferences, business television, training programmes and occasionally gigs and festivals! I should use this opportunity to tell you how fantastic and cutting-edge and unique I am, but being naturally modest I will leave all that stuff to some of the wonderful people that I have had the privilege to work for and with over the past 25 years!
When I'm not working:
You can find me either at a music gig, in my man cave, cooking up a storm inspired by some fine red wine or on my travels!

What I do:
Bringing the experience of the best part of 4 decades in the travel industry, I advise, support and challenge ATN to make it as relevant as possible to tour operators and DMCs. Over the years, I have had the good fortune to have visited over 100 countries through the lens of having a deep professional interest in sustainability, risk management, product development and aviation, along with all the commercial aspects of running a business. Formerly a non-executive director for Hotelplan UK, and Managing Director of Explore Worldwide, I now also advise a number of travel companies and organisations, as well as working with Surrey University School of Hospitality and Tourism Management.
When I'm not working:
Walking randomly across the South of England, learning to cook (thank you Guosto) and not so quietly despairing at UK politics.
