It's been announced this month that the Adventure Travel Networking Conference & Marketplace is set to return as a hybrid event in February 2022.
The event will run on the 3rd & 4th of February 2022.
Now considered the ‘ultimate currency’ adventure travel is core to the recovery of the industry in 2021/22. We are beginning to see the first signs of revenge travel and these travellers, whose money filters out into the local communities, are set to return to destinations they perceive to be safe, with outdoor activities, enhanced sustainable practices and authentic, life-changing experiences.
Attracting over 200 trade members to the ATN Virtual event in February 2021, this hybrid event will continue to provide a unique platform for the adventure travel community to come together to do business and debate the most pressing issues affecting this sector in a post-pandemic world.
It's been a tumultuous time for the industry so it's important the adventure travel community are able to reconnect early in 2022 so we can build on the synergies and the core values that we all share.
ATN Conference & Marketplace is the platform that brings together global companies and organisations with a common value; we combine adventure and experiential travel done well with the promotion and execution of sustainable travel practices.
As an industry we love to be together under one roof so this hybrid event will be a blend of virtual and in-person.
ATN Marketplace - 3rd February 2022
The Marketplace will remain virtual for 2022. Why? Because it's more inclusive and affordable for the trade and whilst we are all still in this delicate time it offers a guaranteed event that works for all. The main supplier/buyer Marketplace day will be on Thursday 3rd February, however the supplier/buyer appointment platform will remain open longer over several days allowing meetings to be spread over more than one day.
Supplier/Buyer Marketplace to remain open longer than one day for multiple reasons
It accommodates the many global time differences we are working with
It allows more time for suppliers and buyers to organised meetings
It offers a better 'ease of time' for buyers/suppliers during a busy season
Traditionally February is a busy time of the year for UK Tour Operators and the sad reality is that many companies will be operating with a smaller number of staff in 2022. Like all companies ATN have adapted to the current climate and for the above reasons it makes makes perfect sense to offer this extended Marketplace format for 2022.
ATN Conference & Networking drinks reception - 4th February 2022
The Conference & Networking Drinks Reception will run as an 'in-person' event in London, with a live-stream option for those unable to attend. The conference is a much needed opportunity for the trade to be under one roof with a combination of speakers and lively panel sessions taking place where we get to debate industry issues. A networking drinks reception will conclude the day giving the extra opportunity for the trade to network and do business with potential trade partners.
